The Artistry of Floral Preservation is Laborious!!! There are THREE steps to preserve flowers.
First: Flowers go into our highly specialized Freeze Dry Machines to be dried out which can take 8 weeks! Any flowers going through the Freeze Dry Process… is a MIRACLE in its self! The fact that anyone can freeze flowers and they look wonderful afterwards without turning black…is a MIRACLE!
Second: The flowers are turned over to our Professional Floral Finisher to complete the next two steps in Floral Preservation. We have to spend hours and hours of man hours, personally, just reshaping flowers and/or repairing flowers damaged at the wedding (hugs obtained…usually) or flowers opening too much. During this step we also have to invisibly wire every flower to prepare the flowers to go into any Display Containers or to even ship back safely.
Third: We color treat every flower petal and greenery to retain their color through the years. All flowers will fade to a wheat color or turn brown no matter how they are dried! Almost all flowers have different color shadings especially the two or three tone roses which are difficult but we just take the time to get as close to the natural color as possible. Many of the Orchids and Lilies have to have the details hand painted to obtain their natural look. Then we apply special protective coats to make the flowers long lasting! This also take’s many man hours to achieve. One bouquet of flowers can often take 20-40 man hours or more to complete.
If the cost becomes prohibitive, we will discuss alternatives to help you select flowers that will represent the essence of your flowers and memories.
We felt informing you as to why the cost per flower to preserve becomes so expensive, so to help you understand. Preserving via Freeze Drying is still relatively new. We’ve been preserving flowers since 1991! Not much earlier than that was it possible to even think about preserving flowers. Precious flowers just died!
Any ‘Work of Art’, like a Picasso or Michelangelo, is painstaking and expensive! The same with Flower Preservation…the flowers and memorabilia become frameable ‘Works of Art’ to be able to bring this MIRACLE to you, but is painstaking and expensive! Once you get your Preserved, Frosted Floral Memory back…you will appreciate all the hard work and cost… Just having your flowers for years and years will be well worth all the trouble!

MEDIUM, HIGH END and VERY HIGH END FLOWERS
Of course, more complex flowers demand much more time to finish preserving. Such flowers like Garden Roses, Freezia, Veronica, Heather are medium priced...
Gardenia Jonquil, Ranucula, Anemone, Day Lily Antherium and some Pom Pom Mums, Cymbidium Orchid, Phalenoplsis Orchid, Stargazer Lily, Japhette Orchid, Cassablanca Lily, Lily of the Valley and Bouvardia are some of the High End Flowers...
The very Highest End flowers, the most difficult flowers to put the finishing touches on are very complex flowers that are multi flower or many petals. These flowers are in that catagory...Hydrangea, Peony, Sunflower, Dahlia, Stock, Snapdragon, Blue Delphinium, Larkspur and Bells of Ireland.
Flowers that are almost impossible to finish are Daisy Pom Pom, Wax Flower, September Flower (Monte Carlo), Fuji Mum and Football Mum. We have to discuss the cost of these flowers on a case per case.
